MANUFACTURING TRAINING MANAGER

Summary Objective
The Manufacturing Training Manager will coordinate with all manufacturing facilities personnel to meet and maintain all their training needs. Responsibilities will include managing the Training Department of two manufacturing campuses, managing the Learning Management System and other records and design training initiatives for manufacturing and other tasking as required. As a leader, the Manufacturing Training Manager will be responsible for ensuring Stellar Energy’s highest standards for training, culture and policies are met and adhered to.
Essential Functions
- Oversees and manages all training initiatives in both manufacturing campuses.
- Manage several teams in multiple locations and travel locally as necessary to train and mentor teams.
- Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information useful to training facility and integrates information into training program.
- Confers with Training and Development Department Leadership and Manufacturing Management Team to determine training objectives.
- Trains Manufacturing Management Team on training initiatives, training programs, and other initiatives as directed by the Training and Development Department Leadership.
- Observes daily operations in the manufacturing facility to determine the need for new training opportunities.
- Trains Training Specialists in the design, development, and execution of classroom and on-the-job style education.
- Mentors Training Specialist in methods and theories of adult learning and professional development.
Schedules classes based on classroom, personnel, and equipment availability as needed.
- Edits and submits classroom presentations, training exercises and training practicums to Training and Development Department Leadership for approval.
- Assists in presenting training programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos as needed.
- Collects data for, creates, and modifies curriculum for diverse types of audiences and learning delivery methods.
- Manages the Learning Management System and additional records of training and development activities, attendance, results of examination and assessments, and retraining requirements.

Work Location
This position will work out of our Manufacturing Facilities in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.
Work Environment
This position operates out of a manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require occasional weekend work.
Travel
Some occasional local day travel may be necessary. Occasional travel to conferences may be required.
Required Education and Experience.
- 5 years of experience in managing training programs.
- 3 years of experience leading and managing teams.
- Experience creating training manuals, online learning modules and course materials.
- Experience delivering training to employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in education, organizational development or related field.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
